I don't often get excited about a new series, but this one has me hooked! The story is exciting, full of mystery, a romantic aspect and great characters that you really root for. The story is fast paced, with lots of (mis)adventures and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The plot is really well developed with lots of angels to further explore and the writing style is right up my street, with natural conversation and just really well written. I can really picture the sci-fi world skillfully created by the author. Fabulous start to the series!

For those looking for fun-filled sci-fi adventure series... this is highly recommended. The characters are likeable; the action, high octane. It grabbed my attention from the first few pages and found myself utterly engrossed until the end. Looking forward to the next installment.
This is not my typical genre. You know. Im not sci fi fan. But this book, is totally different level. A real page turner. Fantastic characters. Exciting story.

AUTHOR
D.M.Z. Liyanage was born in Surrey in the United Kingdom, to Sri-Lankan parents.
She published the first book in the Axel Lennart series: Axel Lennart and the Ice World in 2020, Volume II - Axel Lennart and the Bright Darkness will be out on 1st December 2020! Work has also begun on the third book in the series, to be released in 2021.
On graduating from Murray Edwards College, Cambridge University with a BA in Law, she worked in the media for a number of years, starting in educational and pharmaceutical video, print and web production and moving into researching for live TV and news.
In 2009-10, she studied film directing and screenwriting, obtaining a Diploma in Directing from the Central Film School, London in 2010. Her showreel of short films can be viewed here.
In 2016, she obtained a BSc in Building Surveying and became RICS Chartered in 2018. She now works as a Project Manager in the Construction industry and fits in writing Axel Lennart Books around her day job.
